Principal Certification Resources

Effective September 1, 2019, principal certification candidates will be required to successfully complete two state examinations, the TExES Principal as Instructional Leader (268) exam and the Performance Assessment for School Leaders, PASL (368), in order to be eligible to receive a Principal as Instructional Leader certificate.

As per TAC 241.35, individuals seeking a Principal as Instructional Leader Endorsement must:

  1. Hold a valid certificate to serve in the role of the principal, and
  2. Successfully complete the appropriate exam: Performance Assessment for School Leaders (PASL)
